Week 3 of Sustainable Living Tips

Welcome to the third week of our 40 days to sustainable living! Here are your simple sustainability tips for this week:

3. Use cloth towels instead of paper. 

Mine have gotten a little stained over the years of use, but I just use them as cleaning towels and have a set that I don’t let get stained. That way, I still have nicer towels to put out when we have company. I also made this crocheted wall hanging for my shop if you want a place in your kitchen to put the used towels. It’s an easy way to keep your counters clear, and it can be washed right along with the towels!

5. Switch to sustainable lighting!

While you can buy energy-saving incandescent bulbs, LED lights are by far the best for energy reduction. A bonus with this sustainable swap is that it can also save you money! Here is a chart with more information:
